Decking the Halls: NFM Holiday Preview

At the beginning of November I was invited to attend Nebraska Furniture Mart's holiday preview. This was their first event with KC bloggers and their launch of their KC blogger program! I was so honored that I was invited and had such a great time! So I thought I'd share the run down with you all and some holiday styling inspo from it too!

The event was at their store at their KC store at the Legends and it had been years since I'd been inside it. I think it got bigger since the last time I was there! The place is humongous! There were about 15 of us all together, all local, KC bloggers. There were fashion bloggers, lifestyle, mom/family and every type in between. It's always so fun to meet more KC bloggers and have more blogger friends. KC is the best blogging community and I'm so thankful I am a part of it! :) One of my blogger friends Jacque of 5 O'Clock Fashionistas was there and we had such a good time! It was nice to see her, drink wine, eat chocolate and catch up!

Anyways, once everyone was together, Jordan and Rebecca, the two amazing GirlBosses behind the blogger program, took us on a wine and chocolate tour of the store, which was decked out in holiday decor. We toured the store and at each stop were wines, provided by Rowe Ridge Winery (a local Kansas winery) and See's chocolate. At each stop there were specific decor elements which you can see from the photos! The different themes that the amazing NFM styling team put together was Through the Woods, Sugar Town, Tis the Season and Winter Frost. The entire store was decorated in these gorgeous themes and looked stunning. Seriously, I need all of this ASAP.

These wreaths are gorgeous! I so need one!

The first stop was Sugar Town. The inspiration for this was all things sugar and spice. Frosting, bold reds and bright greens, gingerbread, candy canes and all things sweetly Christmas were the decor elements. It reminds me of Elf, so fun and festive!

Next up was Tis the Season, which was one of my favorites! The inspiration for this theme was bold reds, pinecones, distressed wood, burlap and anything rustic-y. I am so in love with this dining room set up! Everything is just so perfectly styled. #DiningRoomGoals

Through the Woods was inspired by the woodsy, outdoorsy, and again rustic-ness of the holidays. Decor elements include forest greens, exposed wood, burlap, metals, evergreens and cabin-y feel.

Once the tour was over we gathered back downstairs to mingle, drink more wine and eat more chocolate while Jordan and Rebecca gave a short little presentation on what the NFM blogger program was about. The downstairs was gorgeously styled with decor from all of the trends and I kinda need to make a trip back to pick up a *few* things. In all honestly I'll probably buy everything so........
But hey at least I'll have a well decorated place! Haha!

A wine/liquor bottle Christmas tree..... how insanely cool is this?! Such a unique and awesome way to display the bottles!

Jordan and Rebecca the brains, brawn and beauty behind the program! These are two fabulous ladies and I am so glad that I got to meet and chat with them. They gave a short little presentation on their goals and what the blogger program was all about. They have a lot of fun and awesome ideas and I can't wait to be a part of them!

After the presentation they had a surprise for us. They played Santa and did a little 'White Elephant' gift exchange, minus all the fighting over gifts. We all drew a number and got to have our pick of whatever box we wanted. Also how adorable is this wrappping?! They definitely have a career in professional gift wrapping!

Soon it was my turn and I went for it. I picked out a big-ish one and opened it up and honestly was so just amazed at what was inside. I had been gifted a Keurig!! I couldn't believe it!! It's honestly one of the best gifts I've ever gotten and I absolutely love it!! So thank you for this amazing gift! I've used it twice now and will be doing a little coffee station post once I get back into town and finish up a few tiny little decor things. So stay tuned for that.

Other gifts included speakers, dish sets, wine sets and lots of home/kitchen-y things. It was such a fun night and I'm glad that I got to be a part of it and the NFM KC blogger program. Thank you times a million for Jordan, Rebecca and NFM for hosting such a fantastic event!

It was a great night of networking, drinking wine, eating delicious chocolate and getting into the holiday spirit and decor inspiration!
