Fall Into Autumn: Pumpkin Pinspiration

Hello all! Welcome back! Today's is another post in my Fall Into Autumn series! Yay! I'll be sharing with you some pumpkin pinspiration on how to decorate your pumpkins for fall in a different kinda way! If you're like me and shouldn't be handling sharp knives and hard objects then this post is for you! Growing up we never did the whole 'pumpkin carving' thing. My first time carving a pumpkin  was actually during my junior year of high school. I loved the experience and it was fun but it was not for me. One because I was terrified I was going to cut myself and two it's a lot of work. So instead of pumpkin carving I've found an alternative way to still have fun decorating pumpkins!

Pumpkin painting is the way for me! I started painting pumpkins last year and loved the way they turned out! The other day I went to my grocery store and they had pumpkins on sale so I picked up a few to paint. I needed some inspiration so I turned to where else, Pinterest. I found the cutest ideas for them and wanted to buy a whole patch just so I could decorate them! I wish I could paint pumpkins all day every day during the fall season but I can't. So I thought "Why not share it with my lovely readers? Give them some inspiration!" So here I am sharing with you my painted pumpkin pinspiration! Without further adieu here are my top painted pumpkin picks! (Wow that's a lot of p's. lol.)

Think pink! Love the ombre look!

If it doesn't move, monogram it.

State pride!

Hopefully you guys got some inspiration on how to decorate your next pumpkin! Whether it be glittery, monogrammed or a matte black it's sure to look fabulous! You don't need to be a world class painter to paint one either! Just grab some paint and a brush and you're good to go!

Lemme know which was your favorite idea or how you're going to decorate your pumpkin this fall! Maybe I'll take some inspiration! ;)

Till next time!

Internet Inspiration

Hi, hey there, hello! Welcome! Today on le blog I am going to be sharing with you my social media/internet inspirations! I spend the majority of my day on the Internet, one because I'm taking all online classes and two, because I'm slightly addicted... #sorrynotsorry My favorite social media mediums are Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and Tumblr. My social media addiction does serve a purpose; I get inspired. I'm inspired by an outfit on Instagram, a quote on Pinterest, a pretty picture on Tumblr or a funny tweet on Twitter. I get inspired for my blog and my own life. So I thought I'd share with y'all things that have inspired me and maybe they'll inspire you! :)

I love cute drawings and watercolors and when I saw this one I knew this was going to be in my room somewhere! All of my favorite things about fall on a watercolor Starbucks cup! Love it!

I saw this photo on Pinterest and I loved everything about it. The berry colored hat, flawless makeup, perfect boho braid and of course the chunky knit and fall-esque scarf. This to me screams fall time and I am in absolute love. I need to get my hands on a hat like that! (Hehe I rhymed)

This is such an on point outfit. I can't even about it. It's perfect, simply perfect! I have a pair of cranberry skinnies that I'm DYING to break out and start styling. I really want an elbow patch sweater but the only one I can find is from J. Crew and I just can't spend the ungodly amount of money on it. If you have an suggestions PLEASE let me know!

And finally a laugh/smile Nate Archibald, aka Chace Crawford, because I mean look at that smile..... that boy can make me swoon. Holy. Also, someone tell me where I can find a Nate Archibald. I'm in desperate need of one.

I hope this was somewhat enjoyable and maybe you found some inspiration or it just brightened up your day! :)

Fall Into Autumn: DIY Painted Pumpkins

Hey there! How ya doin? Today on the blog I'm going to share with you guys a DIY! It's been forever since I've done one! This is a fall decor DIY that's super easy and super cute! I saw this over on pineapplesandcoffecups Instagram and about died from how adorable it was! I knew I had to do it this fall. Today's DIY is..................

Donut painted pumpkins! How cute are they?! Now mine don't look as cute as those ones but I'm pretty gosh darn proud of how they turned out! This is like the easiest DIY ever. All you need is paint, tape and a pumpkin. That's it, seriously. Lemme show you how easy! (Also excuse the lighting. I did this project at 9pm at night so it might not be the best quality photos.)

Here's what you'll need:

Pumpkins: white and orange (you can use any size but smallish ones work best)
Paint brushes (use smaller tipped brushes)
Paint in various colors (White and brown required but the rest is up to you)
Masking or painter's tape (I forgot to show this.. oops)
Newspaper or something to cover workspace (this is a J. Crew package bag that I cut up!)

How to:

Step 1: Lay down newspaper/paper on your workspace.
Step 2: Tape around your pumpkin. This will be our guide for the "icing".

Step 3: Start painting your pumpkin. You can paint which ever color "icing" you want on either pumpkin. My inspiration also had pink but I didn't have enough pumpkins to do all three, so I stuck with two.

Step 4: Paint the other pumpkin.

Step 5: Paint another coat onto your pumpkins to make it darker. I did two coats on my brown and it turned out fairly dark. You can paint three coats if you really want a dark chocolate brown color. It's up to you.

Step 6: Let your pumpkins dry.
Step 7: Once your pumpkin tops are dried you can start painting on your "sprinkles"! I used blue, yellow, dark pink, light pink, coralish/peachish, light purple, turquoise. Feel free to use whatever colors you'd like! You could even do Halloween colors! Be creative! You're sprinkles don't have to be perfect either. Just paint dots/strokes onto them and they'll look like sprinkles I promise!

Step 8: Continue painting the sprinkles onto your second, third, etc., pumpkin.

Step 9: Let your "sprinkles" dry, which doesn't take very long. Once they've dried you can stack em up and set them out!

You don't have to even be good at painting to create this cute project, which I love! And you can decorate your "donuts" however you like! There's no right or wrong way! They add a nice pop of color to fall decor and are cute and whimsical! I love them!

If you do this DIY tweet me, @samantha_goble, a picture so I can oogle over it! I love seeing how other people recreate projects! :)

Till next time!

Fall Into Autumn: Upcoming TV and Movies

Hello Internet friends! Hope everyone is well! Today's post is going to be all about fall television and movies! I'm quite the TV and movie fanatic and am looking forward to quite a few new TV series and movies. This season's TV shows definitely have a theme around them... crime. Lol. I love me some crime shows! I'm super excited for all the TV and movies that are going to be premiering in the upcoming months! So without further adieu let's get into it!

1) Gotham

Batman is probably one of my favorite superheros. I love all of the Dark Knight movies.  I love the contrast of him, the good and bad, dark and light. So when I heard they were making a TV show centered around before Batman became Batman and the background of Detective Gordon and Gotham you can bet that I am gonna tune in to watch! Ben Mckenzie (aka Ryan Atwood from The O.C. aka one of my adolescent crushes) stars as the young Detective Gordon. Ben Mckenzie starring in this may also be contributing factor to me tuning in.... If you'd like to see the trailer and see the gorgeous Ben click here to watch! Gotham premiered on Monday, September 22 at 8/7c on FOX!

2) State of Affairs

So this isn't necessarily crime but it kinda fits into the category. While I'm not an avid fan of politics I am intrigued by this show. It follows Charlie Tucker, played by Katherine Heigl, an CIA analyst who's job it is to assemble and present the President's Daily Briefing. I am a Katherine Heigl fan as I've been following her since she starred in Grey's Anatomy. (Izzie will always be one of my favorite characters she played) This definitely is an action/ drama show and I'm excited to see how they will play it out. Click here to watch the trailer! State of Affairs airs on Monday, November 17th at 10/9 c on NBC! It's one of the later airing shows but I'm sure it will be worth the wait!

3) How to Get Away with Murder

I saw this trailer and was HOOKED the first 10 seconds in. I finished watching the trailer, which you can watch here, and had goosebumps and my heart racing. If you're unsure about watching it I'll give you 5 reasons why you should. 1) this show looked amazing, 2) the main guy in it is super attractive, 3) Shonda Rimes created it, 4) Viola Davis plays the badass, teacher/lawyer, 5) it has to do with crime and law. Literally all of my favorite things about a TV show all rolled up into one. I am beyond excited to watch this. How to Get Away with Murder premiererd on ABC on Thursday, September 25 at 10/9c!

So these next two aren't new series but are two of my all time favorite shows and also have to do with crime. As you can tell I'm really into crime shows. No judgement okay. Also I swear I am not a criminal or killer.

4) Criminal Minds

This has been one of my favorite TV series of all time. A few summers ago I watched every season that was available. At that time there was 8. I watched 8 seasons of Criminal Minds in the span of like two weeks. It was intense to say the least. I also had to sleep with my bathroom light on. I love everything about this show from the characters to the stories. This season introduces a new character played by Jennifer Love Hewitt. I never liked Blake to begin with so I'm glad that she's gone. I like JLH so I'm excited to see how she does. The new season starts up Wednesday, October 1st, at 9/8c on CBS! I can't wait to watch my loves again, aka the BAU!

5) White Collar

I'm gonna be totally honest here I only started watching this show because Matt Bomer was in it and he's a freaking sex god. I soon found out that the show was actually really good and have been a White Collar fan ever since. I watched all the seasons of White Collar in a two week span too. At that time there was only 4 seasons but still quite a feat. This show has the perfect mix of comedy, romance and action. The characters are quirky and the stories are funny and really interesting. This is one of my favorite shows without a shadow of a doubt and it makes me incredibly sad to say that this season is its final season. Cue tears here. I will be a mess when the season finale airs. I am NOT ready to let go of this show or it's characters. The last first episode will air on Thursday, November 6th on the USA Network.

6) American Horror Story

I'm SO FREAKING excited for this you don't even know. I'm an AHS fan but just know that I have only watched Asylum. I don't like supernatural or witches and such so I won't watch seasons 1 or 3. Lol. But I am soooo looking forward to this season. I have an odd fascination with things carnival/circus/freakshow-esque. I know I'm an oddball. So when I heard that this season was going to be freakshow I freaked out. Now I don't like clowns so this will be interesting to see how I deal with it but for the most part I'm super pumped. The trailer gives us a sneak peak of some of the characters and what the setting of the show will be like. If it doesn't give you goosebumps and gets your heart racing then you might wanna get that checked out. Watch it here. American Horror Story: Freak Show premiers in October.

Now onto the movies of the fall!

1) The Theory of Everything

I love anything related to Britain; television, people, fashion, music and movies, everything. So I love going onto Youtube and watching movie trailers. I've spent hours just watching trailer after trailer for new movies. I stumbled upon this one doing such. It looked interesting enough and BOY OH BOY. I was not prepared to get this excited about a movie. It stars Eddie Redmayne (aka Marius in Les Mis) and Felicity Jones (aka Anna in Like Crazy) as Stephen and Jane Hawking. The movie, inspired by the memoir "Travelling to Infinity: My Life with Stephen written by Jane, follows their lives when they were young, their relationship, his diagnosis and his success. I watched the trailer and knew I was going to see this in theaters. Watch it and you'll see why (click here to watch). It debuts in November and I'll be seeing it when it comes out for sure.

2) The Riot Club

Keeping with the British trend, I stumbled upon this movie the same night I found The Theory of Everything. I clicked on it because I mean look at the sexiness that is in it. Max Irons (aka Henry in Red Riding Hood and James in the Host), Sam Clafin (aka Finnick Odair in Catching Fire) and Douglas Booth (aka Romeo in Romeo and Juliet) star as "trust fund preps" at the prestigious Oxford University in England. It's got action, drama, romance so it looks pretty good. I mean if all else fails just stare at the man candy on screen. It premiers September 19th. Check out the trailer here to see what you think!

3) Kingsman: The Secret Service

This is another British movie, surprise, surprise that it's on my radar. Lol. This one is a spy movie starring Colin Firth. The plot is that Colin Firth's character is a veteran spy who takes a young prodigy under his wing and trains him. Okay, so the plot isn't all that original but it looks at the very least like an cute movie. Kingsman premiers February 13, 2015 and you can watch the trailer here

4) Interstellar

My friend Megan showed me the trailer for this movie and I was hooked. I'm not a huge sci-fi movie person but this movie looked suuuper interesting. Plus, Matthew McConaughey, Anne Hathaway and Michael Cain are in it so it can't be that bad, right? The movie deals with a team of space travlers who travel through space through a wormhole to save humanity. Pretty epic if I do say so myself. I would definitely say if you're not a sci-fi or action movie person then this movie isn't for you because basically it has to do with space and saving Earth. But you can see for yourself here! Interstellar premiers November 7th in theaters.

So that was a lot longer than I was planning on it being.... oh well! Anyways, these are my upcoming fall TV shows and movies which I'm super excited for! Obviously there are some themes among all of them but they look like good watchs!

Lemme know what TV shows and movies you're looking forward to this fall and if you'll watch any of the ones I've listed! Maybe we can start a TV or movie club! :)

Till next time!

Palm Trees, Ocean Breeze, Sunkissed Hair, Salty Air ☼

Aloha my friends! How's it going? Today I'm gonna be showing you  my trip to San Diego!

If you didn't know at the end of August I took a vacation with my dad and brother to sunny San Diego, California for 5 days. It was the greatest 5 days of my life and I actually cried when I had to leave. This is my third time to California, my second time this year, and the furthest south I've ever been. San Diego was by far my favorite place I've been in Cali and I definitely want to move there. Ok so enough about me, let's get into the trip!  :)

We left August 21st, very early in the morning. Our flight took off at 6:44 am and we arrived at LAX for a short layover then it was on to San Diego!

We did tooons of stuff while we were there and it seemed like it was longer than a week. Day 1 we walked around the USS Midway and did some exploring. In the evening we went to Coronado Beach and watched the sunset over the ocean. It was beautiful and the pictures don't do it justice. Day 2 we spent most of the day at Pacific Beach. This was my first time going to the ocean in Cali. It was amazing! Day 3 we went to Balboa Park and to all the museums and exhibits. My favorite was the Aerospace museum it was super cool to see all the aircrafts. We also went up to Point Loma at sunset and got to see the city all lit up at night. It was breathtaking. Day 4 we went to La Jolla and to the beach again. The waters here were unreal. They were the most beautiful colors of blue and green. Day 5 we went to the USS Midway museum which is my second favorite thing we did. I HIGHLY recommend going if you visit SD. After the Midway we headed to the airport to come back home.

I had the best time of my life in San Diego and I actually cried when we left. I never wanted to leave! Everything there was perfect and I'm determined to live there someday. You can take the girl outta Cali but not the Cali outta the girl.

Now for some pictures of my trip! I took over 1,000 so these are just a snipit of my trip. Lol.
