Welcome to Hawaii Days 7 & 8: Leonard's Bakery and Traveling Back Home!

Hi guys! Happy Wednesday! Today I am sharing my last two days of my Hawaii trip with you guys. On Day 7 we went to Leonard's Bakery and ate their famous malasadas which were amazing, had a slightly scary incident and then ate dinner at Duke's. Day 8 was us packing up and heading back home to San Diego!

I hope you guys enjoyed my trip with you guys! I had fun reliving all the memories editing the vlogs.

My complete Oahu travel guide will be up very shortly (aka next week) and then I will start in on my Fiji guide and other travel type posts.

Let me know if there is anything specific that you want me to address for Oahu or traveling in general!

Don't forget to subscribe to my Youtube channel so you're notified ASAP when my videos go live. You can also catch up on Day's 1-4 and the rest of my Hawaii posts here!

Holiday Gift Guide 2016

Hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with good food and good company! I spent it with my mom and brother making mini feast (check it out on Instagram). We all helped make the dishes and they were so good I ate like 20 pounds of food! Then in the evening I Facetimed my dad and rest of my family and said hi. It was a great day and now I'm ready for Christmas. Lol.

I go back home to Kansas City here in less than a couple of weeks and I can't wait to see my friends, family and be back in the Christmas-y atmosphere. Don't get me wrong I love living in California but when it's December you just need the chill in the air.

Some great places to also look for gifts are Marshall's/HomeGoods/TJ Maxx, Target, Kirkland's Home, Nordstrom/Nordstrom Rack, Kohl's, Francesca's, Forever21, H&M, ASOS, Ulta, Sephora, Old Navy and J.Crew as they might have more things in store than online.

The Famous Blanket Scarf

Happy Hump Day! I'm breaking up the travel posts with an outfit one! I shot this look awhile back when we had a day of fall weather and took advantage. I kinda forgot I had it until I was looking through my archives and found it so yay!

I am sharing the infamous blanket scarf and the unusual place I found mine, so read below to find out where!

Also can I be anymore original with my striped dress and plaid scarf? Haha!

Sunglasses: Forever21 (in store: similar here)// Scarf: Walmart (in store: similar here)// Dress: Old Navy// Booties: Forever21 [limited sizes] (similar here and here )// Bag: Old Navy (similar here and here)// Watch: Kohl's (similar here)// Spike bracelet: OASAP (identical here)// Druzy bracelet: Kendra Scott//

|Thanks to Alex for the photos|

So I searched eveerywhere for a striped dress dupe and couldn't find one partly because it's not the season for these type of dresses apparently.... I bought this one back in September? Early October where it was being clearanced out. Once it gets to be spring I would try Forever 21, Old Navy and Target for a dupe.

Also can we stop for a sec and talk about this blanket scarf? It is basically identical to the Zara one but I bought it for under $10 at, take a guess. Walmart! CRAZY RIGHT! They had tons of other colors/patterns and I woulda bought them all to be honest. It's a huge size, but not too big, and can double as a shawl. Last time I was there, before I left for Fiji so late October they had them but I couldn't find them online so try your local store.

I'm also obsessed with these booties. Granted they are the only pair of booties/boots I have with me in California but that's beside the point. Haha! They're the perfect tan/taupe color and go withe everything. I can wear them with jeans, shorts, skirts and dresses. I linked the same pair but they have limited sizes so I also linked up some dupes.

I know I'm a bad blogger and don't buy everything from Nordstrom so it can always be in stock but even Nordstrom is expensive for my blood. If I by elsewhere sometimes it's in stock and other times it's not BUT I always try and link dupes for you guys. I know some people get crazy that they can't get the same item but I do try my best so I just wanted to let you know since the majority of these items are dupes. :)

Where did you find your blanket scarf? Love the trend, hate it? How do you wear them? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

Where Have I Been? A Life Update.

Hello friends! Happy Monday! I hope you all have been well since my last blog post here and you might be wondering "Where the heck have you been Sam!?" No I haven't forgotten about the blog or you! If you follow me on social media then you already know the answer to that question, if not I am here today to tell you.

It's not uncommon for me to go on hiatuses. I get incredibly busy with school, work or life and just need to take a break for myself to focus on those things. Other times it's because I'm in a creative rut, burnt out and need a break so I can come back revitalized and remember why I started in the first place. This hiatus has been a combination of all of the things.

Life has been kinda insane for me lately with school kicking into full gear, my part time weekend event job, running Tribe 21, being a mother's helper for a family and for the last week traveling abroad in Fiji. I am a mother's helper for a family here in California and went with them on a week long trip to Fiji. It was an amazing experience and one that I am so blessed and fortunate to have been given the opportunity to take. You can see photos of the beautiful island over on my Instagram, @samantha_goble.

Anyways, I just haven't had the time or quite frankly the energy to shoot content for posts or even write them. In the month of October I had very little free time between school, having to make up two weeks worth of work for three classes while I was gone, working on Tribe 21 stuff, working for the family and my event job at the end of the day I just wanted to lay in bed and watch TV, not try to think of content.

It's not that I don't love blogging anymore because I do. I have so many ideas rolling around in my head for content I just don't have the time or energy to create them all, or I have so many that I get overwhelmed and don't know where to start.  People don't realize that blogging is more than just smiling for photos, it takes hours and hours and hours of planning. I still have to finish my Hawaii series which takes tons of work going through all of the video footage for the vlogs, putting together the travel guide and writing up the content for that, sorting images, etc., etc.

But now that I am back and getting back into my normal routine I want to get back to blogging and finish and start shooting content for you guys. I want to finish my Hawaii series, start my Fiji series, start bringing you more fashion, beauty, home and lifestyle content. I want to produce posts that you guys want to read and get excited to read so please, please, please let me know what YOU want to see and I will do my absolute best to produce them.

Anyways, I'm not sure if that addressed why I've been gone or where I've been but I just wanted to let you guys know that I'm still here, that I haven't forgotten about you and plan on bringing you guys some great content so just bear with me a little while longer. I promise it is worth the wait.

If there is a certain type of post you want to see please let me know in the comments, emailing me, tweeting me, snapping me, on Instagram, etc. I want to create content you want to see and are interested in!

Thank you all for your continued support to me and this little blog. You guys are the best! :)
