Duck Off + Winner of Preston Fox Giveaway!

Happy Friday everyone! I hope you all had a good week! I know you all are excited to see who the winner is of the Preston Fox giveaway and I am SO excited to tell you! If you didn't know I hosted a giveaway with Preston Fox, a local California boutique/brand last Friday, you can see that post here. They were so kind to be giving away two of their graphic tees to one lucky of life and style reader! One of their tees that you could win is this super cute ringer, crop top that says what autocorrect always seems to correct too when we mean the other word *insert monkey covering eyes emoji here*

Sunnies: Boutique (similar here and here)// Necklace: Kendra Scott// Tee: Preston Fox (c/o)// Bikini bottoms: Aerie// Shorts: American Eagle (similar here)// Bracelet: Kendra Scott//

Thanks to Alex for the photos

I'm not a huge crop top girl but this one is too cute, plus I mean how many of us have encountered this autocorrect? Haha! I love witty graphic tees like this. They're fun and funny and everyone can relate!

I love wearing crop tops to the beach over my suit. They're easy to throw on over a pair of shorts as a coverup and then are an instant outfit to go from the beach or pool to lunch, shopping, etc.

This was also my first time shooting in public with my brother and not with other bloggers and to say I was self conscious was a HUGE understatement. This was also my first time shooting with a crop top aka showing my stomach so please be nice :)

Okay before I announce the winner of the giveaway I want to make a little disclaimer on how I selected the winner. There were multiple ways to enter such as following me on my various social media networks as well as Preston Fox. Each entry had a point value, some worth 1 others worth 2 which meant you got either one name in the bowl or two names in the bowl. The more you filled out, especially the 2 point ones the more chances you had to win. Everyone who entered via Instagram posts and liked and followed both myself and Preston Fox received 2 points per following each account. Once I went through all of the entries I typed up everyone's names in an Excel sheet. Example Jane Doe had 6 entries so her name was entered in numbers 1-6, Sally had 3 entries so her name was entered in 7-9, etc., etc. I then went to a random number generator put in my start and end values and got the winning number which was 16. I'm telling you all this because I've seen giveaways done where the host has chosen friends or cheated and that's not how I work. Everyone had at least one chance to be entered and obviously the more times you enter the greater chance you have to win but in the end it's all based on luck. So without further adieu....

Lucky number 16 and the moment you've been waiting for.... the winner of the Supermodel tee and a graphic tee of your choice from Preston Fox is.....

Katie K.

Congratulations on winning the Preston Fox giveaway! YAY! Please email me within 24 hours at for details on how to claim your tees!

THANK YOU to everyone who entered, and as always this collaboration and giveaway would not have happened without YOU! You guys make stuff like this happen possible for me so thank you from the absolute bottom of my heart!

Thank you to Preston Fox for the adorable top in today's post and for doing the giveaway and promo code. The top was gifted to me for free, all opinions are my own and are in no way, shape or form influenced by Preston Fox and I am not making any commission from it.

What do you guys wear to the beach? What do you think of witty graphic tees like this? Share in the comments below!

Black and Gold

Jumpsuits are such a versatile piece. You can dress them up for a night out or down for a casual lunch look. Today I'm sharing a more night out look!

Sunnies: Forever21 (similar here)// Necklace: Kendra Scott// Jumpsuit: Kohl's (identical here [limited sizes], similar here and here)// Spike bracelet: OASAP (identical here)// Watch: Charlotte Russe (old)// Link bracelet: Rocksbox// Druzy: Kendra Scott// Purse: Target (nude here)// Heels: Charlotte Russe (similar here, here, and here)//

Thanks to Alex for the photos!

I've worn this jumpsuit a couple of times which you can see here and here and it's remained a staple in my closet. It's so comfy and like I mentioned earlier is so versatile! The one that I am wearing is from last season but I linked a couple that are pretty similar.

I paired it with these strappy, chunky, nude heels and my gold jewelry. There is just something about black and gold that is so classic and sophisticated. These heels are sold out at the original store I bought them at but I linked a whole bunch that are super similar! I think every girl should have a nude pair of heels in her wardrobe.

Lastly this purse is a look alike for the classic Chanel ones. This one is from Target under $30 and is really nice quality and pretty spacious. It's the perfect night out bag that compliments the outfit perfectly!

What is your versatile piece that goes from day to night? Love jumpsuits? Loathe them? Share your thoughts in the comments below!

More Issues Than Vogue + A Giveaway

Who doesn't love a good graphic tee? I mean they're funny, witty, the perfect statement for an outfit and kinda speak for themselves. Plus they're super easy to throw on with shorts and sandals or jeans and Converse for an easy, effortless look! Today I'm sharing this super cute 'More Issues than Vogue' sweatshirt from a local California brand, Preston Fox,  that's gonna be the perfect transitional piece for the fall time! And I have a giveaway at the end!

Sunnies: Old Navy (similar here)// Top: Preston Fox (c/o)// Shorts: American Eagle (similar pair)// Shoes: Target (similar here)// Druzy bracelet: Kendra Scott// Link bracelet: Rocksbox// Spike bracelet: OASAP (identical here)//

Thanks Alex for the photos

I felt like such a California girl while shooting this look with my aviators, sweatshirt, ripped shirts and sandals. I've been here not even a year and I've got that California vibe on lock down. Haha!

How stinkin cute is this tee!? It's gonna be the perfect transitional piece from summer to fall. It's lightweight to keep you warm during the cool summer nights and not too hot for the early fall days. It runs pretty true to size, maybe a little bit snug. I got a Small and it fits I just wish it was a little bigger. I typically like my sweatshirts/longsleeves cozier so if you're wanting that type of fit I would go up a size or two. It's currently on sale for $15!! AND I have a discount code for you guys too! *insert salsa dancing emoiji here*

So a little about the brand, Preston Fox: they're women's fashion retailer based in Oceanside, California which is like 20 minutes from my house. They were founded by Steph and Laura in 2015 as a mobile boutique and trunk show to bring quality, carefully curated, affordable and super fashionable pieces to San Diego. Their website launched just this year and they want to spread the #FoxLife lifestyle. A Preston Fox girl is independent, savvy and intelligent. She loves simple silhouettes but is never afraid to pair her edgy side with her favorite basics. She loves friendships, new places and lots of coffee.

They followed me on Instagram and after scrolling through their feed I knew I wanted to work with them. I love that they are a local California company/brand and I LOVE supporting local businesses, especially when they are run by two fabulous ladies who have a passion for empowering women! I love their mantra and brand aesthetic and am so thankful they said yes to collaborating with me! They are such an incredible brand with super cute clothes so definitely head over to their website and social media and check them out and follow them!

Preston Fox was lovely and generous enough to do a giveaway with me for you guys! They will be giving away their Supermodel graphic tee AND a graphic tee of your choice (subject to availability of course)!

It's sooo easy to enter. Just enter through the widget below and that's it! You do have to be at least 13 years of age and have a valid email address. There will be only one email address per entry, any more will result in a disqualification and I don't wanna disqualify anyone so just enter once :)

The giveaway goes from today, August 5th till next Friday, August 12. The winner will be contacted by me via email and announced in next Friday's blog post as well as on Instagram (@samantha_goble).

Updated Makeup Routine + New Makeup Products

It has been awhile since I've done a makeup routine (actually 10 months to be exact... but who's counting, haha!) I've recently been using and loving quite a few new products to my makeup routine so I thought I'd share them with you guys and my thoughts on them! I already know I'm gonna talk a lot so let's get right to it!

Primer: Estee Edit Pore Vanishing Stick (c/o)// Concealer: Maybelline Instant Age Rewind (shade neutral), Essence Pure Nude (20 pure sand)// Foundation: Rimmel Stay Matte foundation (shade 201 soft beige)// Powder: Maybelline Master Fix Loose Powder (shade transluscent)// Blush: NYX Powder Blush [discontinued] (shade PB06 peach)// Contour: ELF Bronzer palette (contour palette)// Highlight: Estee Edit Beam Team (c/o)// Eyebrows: ELF Brow pencil (shade neutral brown)// Eyeshadow: NYX Love in Paris (shade Parisian Chic)// Mascara: Maybelline FalsiesStila Huge Extreme Lash// Lipstick: ColourPop Ulta Matte liquid lipstick (shade Shimmy)//

I recently was the Pore Vanishing stick from the Estee Edit and Influenster to try out and wasn't really in the market for a pore minimizing product. I have the Maybelline Baby Skin Pore Eraser and love it as it reduces my pores and mattifies my skin. I tried the stick out one day and I was blown away by how amazing it reduced my pores. I have a fairly deep one on my nose and it completely filled it on. My mom even noticed and asked what I put on my face because she didn't see that big pore. It's changed my pore game.

Next I apply my Maybelline under eye concealer to cover up my circles and brighten my face. I blend it in with my Real Techniques sponge which is 1000 times better than the Beauty Blender and a quarter of the cost!

Next I do my brows. I've been doing my brows for a couple of months now since I took a class from the brow queen the Anastasia Beverly Hills team and it just completes my makeup now. I can't believe I never use to do it! It frames my face and adds that final touch to my makeup. I do it before my foundation to help guide the rest of my makeup. I use the ELF eyebrow pencil in neutral brown to give them some color and shape, not too heavy though, then highlight/conceal/carve them out with the Essence Pure Nude concealer in sand. It's the perfect highlight shade for under the brow bone and conceals any redness, discoloration or hairs!

Once brows are done I got into foundation. You guys know I've been using my Rimmel Stay Matte in soft beige for forever and it's my go-to, holy grail foundation. It's inexpensive, lightweight (doesn't look or feel heavy or cakey), medium-full coverage and is mattifying. It's a win-win-win-win-win! I apply it with my fingers since it's a mousse texture then set it with my Maybelline Master Fix loose powder. This stuff blurs, mattifies, sets and just makes your skin look awesome. Once my face is set I apply my go-to blush, the NYX powder blush in peach. I actually just learned while putting together this post that they discontinued it and stores don't sell it anymore :( :(  I am SO bummed! It is the perfect shade for my skin and gives me the perfect blushed color and is matte which is a huuuge bonus! Guess I'll be making a trip to my local Ulta/Sephora to find a dupe for it.

Now it's time to contour! Contouring is one of the 'it' beauty trends thanks to the Kardashian's and Snapchat. I got into last year and have been trying different bronzers to contour with. I picked up this ELF bronzer palette from Target awhile back and fell in love with two shades that create the perfect contour. I use the bottom right to contour with, it's not too warm or too cool and gives that perfect sculpted, shadowed look. Then I use the top left to go under my contour color as a "highlight" color to really pop the contour. AND it's on sale for $3! You can get 4 really pigmented and just gorgeous bronzer shades. Such a steal!

I know the shades look really reddish but it's just the way the photographed up close. The photo after the Beam Team shows their true colors so much better!

In addition to the Pore Vanishing stick they also sent me the Beam Team liquid illuminizer. I am relatively new to highlighting/illuminating but love the glowy, celebrity feel that I get when I wear it. I never have tried a liquid illuminizer but was excited to try it. It's this gorgeous pinkey, golden shimmery color that gives the perfect highlight. Like it's soooo good. I'm obsessed and my highlighting game has been changed. It's a lot of product and a little goes a long way.

That's my face makeup! Nothing too overly complicated or anything. I have combination skin and tend to stick to mattifying products, the highlighter is the exception. Now onto the rest!

I am one of those girls, like many out there, that just has to have a new eyeshadow palette when in Target or Walmart or CVS or Ulta or wherever. Even though we have like 5 neutral eyeshadow palettes already that basically have the same colors in it..... #justgirlythings Anyways I added this NYX Paris in Love palette to my collection awhile back but rediscovered it again. It has 9 shades, all neutral ranging from matte to shimmery for an everyday eye look or dramatic smokey eye that are super pigmented. I love and use all of them but my favorites are the top row middle and the bottom row middle. The top one is a gorgeous shimmery golden color, perfect for an everyday day and the bottom one is a deep shimmery bronze perfect for a bronzey smokey eye.

I haven't been wearing eyeliner daily, only for nighttime or special events, so I make sure my lashes look super black and super long. I first use the Maybelline Falsies mascara which is my holy grail drugstore mascara to give a basecoat. It is the perfect formula, not too dry or too wet, gives great length, volume and separation to the lashes. Then I go in with my Stila Huge Lash mascara to amp it up and make them black black and add more volume. With both my lashes are super volumized and long and resemble false lashes which is the ultimate goal.

The finishing touch is lipstick. I talked about these liquid lipsticks awhile ago and promised a review. A review will come but I'm still finding the perfect combination for them. I'm really close and have been wearing the Colour Pop matte liquid in 'Shimmy' which is the perfect light pink, perfect for everyday. It's usually what I wear in my blog photos if you were wondering!

So that's it! That's my current makeup routine. I've definitely added more products and steps over the years as I learn more and get better with my makeup skills. A couple of years ago I never use to wear blush or lipstick now I do almost everyday, a year ago I never contoured, now I do, same with highlighting and my brows. Each step compliments the previous and the next and just gives a completed look, everything ties together and looks #flawless!

Thank you to Influenster and the Estee Edit for these beautiful makeup goodies in today's post. They were gifted to me for free, all opinions are my own and I am not making any commission off of them. Collaborations like this wouldn't be possible without the support of all my readers and followers so THANK YOU!

What beauty steps do you do now that you didn't use to? What new makeup goodies do I need to try? Share in the comments below! :)

Hello Weekend

The off the shoulder trend has taken the fashion and blogging world by storm. It can be seen in stores from Free People to Forever 21 and from your neighborhood blogger to the megablogger with millions of followers. I love this trend and have an OTS dress (which can be seen here) and now have the perfect OTS white top!

Sunnies: Boutique// Top necklace: Kendra Scott// Bottom necklace: Gorjana (Rocsbox)// Top: Charlotte Russe (similar here and here)// Belt: Target (similar here)// Shorts: American Eagle (similar here)// Shoes: Ross (similar here)// Tote: Marshall Rousso// Ring: Rocksbox// Spike bracelet: OASAP (identical here)// Druzy bracelet: Kendra Scott// Blue jewel: BaubleBar (old)//

Thanks Alex for the photos

This top might be my favorite that is currently in my closet. It's cute, easy to style and can be dressed up or down, depending on the occasion. I typically wear it with shorts and sandals but it can be paired with jeans, heels and a clutch for more of a dressy, nighttime look.
Another reason why I love this top is that it actually has arm holes. Most OTS tops just sit around your arms but this one has sleeves where you put your arms in so that it doesn't slip up around your shoulders! #PRAISEJESUS

I bought it at Charlotte Russe in store and sadly can't find it online :( BUT I have linked a couple of similar options above. You can try your local Charlotte Russe store to see if they have it in stock or check places like Nordstrom, Forever21, H&M, etc. for dupes as well.

I adore my Kendra Scott druzy necklace and wear it every single day with every outfit. I know I sound like a broken record but it's my favorite piece of jewelry I own. It's dainty to layer (like I have today), goes with every outfit whether casual or dressy, and adds the perfect amount of sparkle to any look. I wear it with an oversized tee, Norts and sandals and it somehow ties the look together perfectly. It's the magic necklace. So if you're wanting your first piece of Kendra I HIGHLY recommend this being it!

If you're unsure and want to see if it fits your style you can rent it for FREE through Rocksbox! Get a free month of designer jewelry using the code 'samanthagoblexoxo' at the checkout page. Got questions or want a step by step on how to sign up? Check out my post outlining all of it here!

Lastly HOW CUTE is this tote?! I saw it at a store when I was in Vegas (read all about my trip here) and knew I had to have it because A) it's super cute, B) it's the perfect beach bag/shopping bag and C) I've never seen anything like it before! It's like a burlapy material and has an outer pocket so it's perfect for the beach ie: the sand can fall out. It's the perfect size for the essentials without getting bogged down. I'm obsessed!

Where do you guys get off the shoulder tops? Thoughts on the trend? Leave me a comment below!
