The Lady in Black

I feel like I should be on AHS Coven than a life + style blogger! Haha! Anyways, today I'm sharing this all black ensemble! I picked up this gorgeous black and white plaid fringed wrap from Forever21 the other day and knew the countless outfits I could wear with it. I was feeling edgy so I decided to go with an all black look with gold details! Perfect for Halloween! I typically don't wear this much black but I really love the way it looks. It's mysterious, edgy but still polished and put together. I'm definitely digging these vibes.

I'm OBSESSED with wraps/ponchos for the fall/winter time. Like I can't get enough of them. I need more in my life. This one is from Forever21, can you believe it?! It's actually really nice quality: super soft and surprisingly cozy. I love it and will definitely be wearing it more. Unfortunately, it's sold out online :( But you can try to find it in store.

And my birthday present to myself, my bag, is making it's first outfit appearance on the blog. It's my favorite bag that I've ever purchased. It's classic and makes me feel so grown up!

So what do we think of the black on black on black on black look? Love it, loathe it? Leave me a comment sharing!

Channel your inner Holly Golightly for a fun Halloween night out! For the first one all you need is a tiara/crown, sunglasses, a trenchcoat and heels! The cat is optional.
The second requires a men's white dress shirt or a woman's white shirtdress and an eyemask! The tassel earplugs are optional too.

Cat Burglar

Don't break the bank creating this costume! Grab a striped shirt, black pants, shoes, gloves, a stocking hat and a black mask, either bought or painted on, for the sneakiest and chicest costume ever! Don't forget to grab your partner in crime too!

Fall Nail Color Favorites

I love having my nails painted, whether I'm doing them myself at home or splurging and getting them done. There's just something about painted nails that's chic. I don't wear nail polish all the time, but once it hits fall you can bet I'm bringing out my burgandy's, navy's, red's and winter white's.

Today I thought it'd be fun to share with you guys my favorite fall nail colors! These are the colors that I rotate through during the cooler season and wear well into winter! So let's get to it!

So here's the 6 colors that I wear pretty much from the months of October to about March. They're your pretty basic fall nail colors. My two favorite brands of polish are Sinful Colors and Essie. Sinful Colors is your 'cheaper' brand but it does not lack quality. It's probably one of the best quality nail polishes and I'd rival it against any name brand. Essie is my name brand favorite because of the quality and colors they have. Plus they have the funnest names. You can find both at Target, WalMart, Walgreens, CVS, etc.

The colors are (in left to right):
Sinful Colors: Nirvana
Essie: After School Boy Blazer
Kardashian Beauty: Ferverdream
Essie: A-List
Sinful Colors: Gold Medal
Essie: Wrap Me Up

SC 'Nirvana' is a brownish-gray color, almost taupey. It's super pretty and a fun take on a 'brown' nail.
Essie 'After School Boy Blazer' is a cult favorite around the fall. It's the perfect deep navy color. It's a great alternative for a dark, almost black, color without being black.

Kardashian Beauty 'Ferverdream' I picked up at Ulta a long time ago and I don't think they have/make it anymore but I'm sure Essie has a dupe. It's a gorgeous, burgandy/wine color.

Essie 'A-List' is the quintessential holiday red. It's bright, bold and fun. It screams Christmas and begs to be worn. It's my favorite red nail polish ever.

SC 'Gold Medal' is one of the richest metallic colors I've ever worn. Most gold polishes are super thin and take a million coats but not this one. Two is all it takes for a sparkling gold finish.

Last, Essie 'Wrap Me Up' is the fun take on winter whites. It's a matte polish, that has the softest pinkey undertones. It's the perfect 'nude' nail color.

And because I can't paint my nails worth crap, literally looks like a 4 year old did it, I've provided professional swatches to show you all the gorgeous colors! Seriously, how stunning are they?!

These colors are staples and one of the best accessories. A simple outfit can be jazzed up with a great manicure. And speaking of, what does yours say about you? This hilarious TSM article tells all.

They're stunning colors, are great quality and affordable! They're staple beauty products for sure.

What are your favorite fall nail colors? Any I need to pick up? Share them below!

Fall Shoe Roundup

I love shoes, that's no secret. I have way too many but somehow always justify the next pair. It's a problem, but hey I guess I could have worse addictions. Anyways, today I'm rounding up some of my favorite fall shoes! They're all super stylish and super affordable. I just bought the red rain boots and the gold glitter heels and I couldn't be more excited. I'm really eyeing those black and gold heeled boots....

Rain boots: GoJane (lots of other colors too)// Brown heeled booties: Charlotte Russe// Leopard pumps: Target// Black bow flats: Forever21// Riding boots: Nordstrom// Gold glitter heels: Forever21// Leopard slip-ons: Target// Gold heeled boots: Forever21// Red bow heels: Go Jane//

So apparently I have a theme with my fall shoes: red, gold, leopard and brown.. Haha! Anyways all of these shoes are knock outs for the fall and winter. Rain boots and riding boots are everyday essentials. The gold glitter, leopard and red bow heels are such fin and statement holiday heels. The bow flats and leopard slip-ons are perfect for class or running errands. And the booties are great for a night out.

I picked the rain boots and gold glitter heels and I'm OBSESSED. I can't wait to style and shoot them! I also have the leopard heels and slip-ons and a pair of the bow heels and wear the crap out of them. The bow heels I have are black and are such a fun take on the classic black pointed toe heel.

Each type of shoe are ones that I wear constantly in the fall and winter. They can be styled a million different ways and are super affordable! SCORE!

Arm Candy

I love bracelets. I didn't use to but now I'm obsessed. My Instagram is the judge of that. So I thought I'd share with you my favorite bracelet combinations, where I buy my bracelets and how you can get the perfect set of arm candy!

My favorite bracelets that I wear in pretty much every stack (as you can tell) are some combination of these ones. Either this link one from a random boutique, this pointy stud one, the pink Kendra Scott, the tassel one from BaubleBar, the faux diamond one from a random set, the turquoise round set one from BaubleBar, the triangle cuff one from TJ Maxx, and the turquoise round bead one from Target. I've recently picked up this new Kendra Scott one and it's perfection. I wear it by itself or with a stack.

I wear them with almost every single outfit. They're fun and add the perfect finishing touch.

My favorite places to buy bracelets are Francesca's, Forever21, BaubleBar, Kendra Scott, TJ Maxx/Marshall's, Target, Charlotte Russe, Nordstrom Rack, Charming Charlie, Versona Boutique, SheInside and Kohl's. All have awesome pieces that range from a few dollars to $30 or more. SheInside has great dupes, like the Cartier love and nail bracelet.

Mix and match from the higher price points with the lower ones from Forever21.

I don't really have a rhyme or reason to my stacking. I kinda just start putting pieces on until I like the combination. I stick with gold tones and pops of color. I typically wear between 3-5 bracelets depending on the size of each. I'd love to start wearing bigger more statement bangles but I have a hard time finding ones that won't fall off my arm! So if you know of any places please let me know in the comments! :)

So there you have it; how I get my arm candy! I know, there's not a lot of direction to it. It's honestly more about what you love and your style. So if you love mixing metals go for it! Or you love wearing all color, girl you do you! It's about having fun with your jewelry and rocking it!

Prep School

When I saw this sweater at Kohl's I immediately thought of a J.Crew catalog. Seeing tall, handsome boys in khaki's, varsity sweaters and glasses holding a stack of books and girl's in plaid skirts being all cutesy around them. So when I got this top I had the perfect outfit in mind.

Sunglasses: TJ Maxx (similar here)// Gingham button up: Target (similar here and here)// Sweater: Kohl's// Belt: Target (similar here)// Jeans: American Eagle (similar here and here)// Flats: Target// Bag: Vintage// Tassel bracelet: BaubleBar// Pearl cuff: Forever21// Pink cuff: Kendra Scott//

|Thanks to Alex for the photos|

Naturally I paired it with my navy gingham button down, classic skinny jeans and cognac flats. Oh and a super cute backpack because #PrepSchool. This is definitely one of those super classic outfits that will never go out of style. If I had class I would hands down wear this outfit. And sure that might be a little impractical for college but dress for success, right?

I also love this sweater because it's a lighter material but still nice for layering. It's not super tight and lays really nice on. Plus, the varsity sweater trend is very in right now, so #Trending. I loved it so much I bought it in maroon too! I'm thinking of getting the cream one too! Hey you know what they say, if you love it, get it in every color! *insert monkey covering eyes emoji here*

What do you think of the varsity sweater trend? Love it, loathe it? Leave me a comment below!
