Celebrating Success

Today's post is a little different than normal. But nonetheless I wanted to share it with you guys.

The other day on Facebook I saw a post from a guy I went to high school with. He's in college pursuing his degree and has an internship at a local firm. He posted about how thankful he was for all of the opportunities he's been given and all the support from his friends and family. While I'm not friends with him, I liked hist post.

Even though I live in a world where all of us Millennial's are pitted against one another for degrees and jobs, it genuinely makes me happy to see my classmates being so successful in their education, jobs or lives. I'm thrilled that they are doing so well in a dog eat dog world.

It's easy to get jealous and spiteful of those we know who are kicking butt and taking names, whether it's in school, the workplace or other faucets of our lives. Imagine if we uplifted and were supportive of those who were doing well and being successful, instead of trying to compete, outshine and beat other's down. Imagine a world or society like that.

The next time you see a post about someone's successes, try to be genuinely happy for them. You'd want the same if it happened to you.

So yeah that was today's post. I know it's not the usual fashion or lifestyle post but this was something that I wanted to share with you all. We should celebrate successes of those around us. I think the world would be a much better place if we did.
