Met Gala 2015

The best day of the fashion world has graced us once again, the uber prestigious Met Gala. The night of nights for fashion where celebrities pull out the stops to wow in couture gowns. Every year I religious refresh and stalk Twitter for the instant Red Carpet arrivals to see who wore what. The theme for this year was "Through the Looking Glass: China". Lots of Asian inspired pieces, reds and headdresses were worn a plenty. I would do anything to be able to get into the Met Gala. Do they need any event planners? I'm totes available! ;)

Let's get to the gorgeous gowns!

Alicia Keys in Jean Paul Gaultier// Cara Delevingne in Stella McCartney// Rosie Huntington-Whiteley in Versace// Kate Hudson in Michael Kors//

Rocking a jacket and some major tulle Alicia owns it. I love the fem but edgy vibe. Cara is known for wearing pants to swanky events and honestly, she pulls it off. I love the all black with cutouts and floral tattoos. It's rocker but chic. Rosie's gown is stunnnning! I love the nude color, one shoulder and thigh high slit. Kate's dress is one of my top favorites from the night. IT'S GOLD SEQUINS! It's absolutel perf. She's perf.

Eddie Redmayne in Valentino// Ansel Elgort in Tom Ford//

This year's gentlemen didn't wow me quite as much as last year's but nonetheless there were two who I had heart eyes at. Eddie Redmayne and Ansel Elgort were dappered out in their tuxes and my oh my. There is just something about men in tuxes that got me feeling some type of way ;)

Amal Clooney in John Galliano// Gigi Hadid in DVF// Hannah Davis in J. Mendel// Vanessa Hudgens in H&M//

Red was the color of the night and boy oh boy was it a passionate, hot and sexy one! Amal came to life as the salsa dancing emoji and floored, as per usual. Gigi's dress was seductive but simple. I loved the plunging neckline and lace detail. Hannah's gown was all sorts of sexy! I love the one shoulder and cut out detail. Vanessa's tea length embellished gown was the right amount of sparkle.

Hailee Steinfeld in Michael Kors// Zendaya in Fausto Puglisi//

I absolutely love, love, love Hailee's gown! Honestly if I was going to prom, formal or ball I would hands down wear this. It's sophisticated and just a stunning gown. Zendaya's  gown is so unique and different but works. I really loved it! It nailed the theme right on the head!

Reese Witherspoon in Jason Wu// Poppy Delevingne in Marchesa// Allison Williams in Giambattista Valli// Helen Mirren//

Reese is my ultimate girl crush and does not disappoint in this stunning  custom gown. Poppy's gown is whimsical and fun. I love the play on words with the poppy bodice! While some didn't like Allison's dress I happened to love it! I love style and the black details. It reminds me of a gown I saw at KCFW. Helen Mirren once again delivers and shows that you can have style at 60. The laser cutouts are unique and show skin without showing too much.

Selena Gomez in Vera Wang// Dianna Agron in Tory Burch// Sophia Vergara in Marchesa//

These ladies were white hot! I loved the simplicity of Selena's gown. I also love her Asian inspired flower crown. #HatersGonnaHate Diana's embroidery is stunning and the perfect touch of Asian influence without being over the top. Sophia's gown is stunning. Plain and simple.

Beyonce in Givenchy// Kerry Washington in Prada//

I think we can all agree that Beyonce is Queen Bee for a reason. I mean HAVE YOU SEEN HER GOWN?! She made a fashionably late entrance but it was well worth it. She blew us away with her custom bedazzeled gown. I love Kerry's gown, taking a risk with pink she nailed it! The back is gorgeous and very 'Belle of the Ball' inspired!

With every good gown there is an equally bad one. So here is my worst dressed list.

Anne Hathaway in Ralph Lauren// Kendall Jenner in Calvin Klein// Chloe Sevigny in J.W Anderson// Ellie Goulding in Marchesa//

Anne Star Wars called and they want their dress back. I love the color of Kendall's dress but the crossed open sides and chain mail texture is not working for me. Chloe's dress is 50 shades of NO. While Ellie usually stuns on the Red Carpet tonight she fell short in this silver fringed number.

Miley Cyrus in Alexander Wang// Solange in Giles Deacon// Jennifer Connelly in Louis Vuitton// Kris Jenner in Balmain//

Miley is a definite risk taker/rule breaker when it comes to event fashion but this gown is just no, no, no. The studs, high neckline and side cutouts are just too much. I don't even have words for Solange's dress...... I feel like I'm back in the Victorian era gone wrong with Jennifer's gown. Kris Jenner looks like an evil villain......

SJP in H&M// Lupita Nyong'o in Prada// Jenna Lyons// Lily Collins in Chanel//

I applaud SJP for really embracing the theme but I feel like I should be seeing her perform in a Chinese dance show than the Red Carpet. Lupita's gown is Peter Pan meets a fishing net. Bedazzeled pajamas? To the Met Gala? Jenna what are you thinking? I love the uniquess of Lily's dress but it's just a bit too much working at once.

So there you have it, the good, bad and the ugly from the 2015 Met Gala! While there were some stunners, last years were my favorite! Now we wait another year until the best and brightest come out to shine once again.

What were your favorites of the night? Who's on your best and worst dressed list? Leave me a comment below! I'd love to hear!
