Get Ready With Me: Wedding Edition

Hello all! Welcome back! Today you're going to be getting ready with me to go to a  wedding! One of my dear friends got married a couple of Saturday's ago and I was invited to her wedding! It was set in the country in a barn and it was adorable and I loved it! They decorated it themselves and it was one of the prettiest weddings I've ever seen! Everything was gorgeous! From the bride to the cake it was perfect! Don't worry I'll post some photos at the end! :)

I'm not one to pass up a chance to get all dressed up since well this is the first time I'm getting all dressed up in like forever so I had to go all out. Since it was a country wedding my outfit reflected that as well as my makeup. This is going to be a loong post so let's hop right in!

I started off by washing my face with my mattefying cleanser, then I brushed my teeth and finally I applied moisturizer. Skincare post coming soon!

I decided to curl my hair for this look! I rarely ever curl it, except for special occasions so it was a nice change! I first applied my got2b guardian angel heat protectant to my hair and brushed it through. I used a Conair 1" curling iron without the clamp and just wrapped my hair around the barrel. It creates really pretty naturally looking curls!

Finally done!

Ta-da! The finished hair look! I then sprayed my hair with the Kenra hairspray and added some Kloane dry shampoo to my roots to give it volume and soak up any oil I had.

Klorane Dry Shampoo// got2b guardian angel flat iron balm// Kenra hairspray//

I wanted a heavier makeup look since this was a fancy event. I opted for the whole shebang tonight with a brown smokey eye and winged liner. I have to say it turned out pretty good!

From L to R:
NYC Smooth Skin bronzer in Sunny// NYC powder blush in Peach// Rimmel Stay Matte pressed powder in Transluscent// Covergirl Outlast Stay Fabulous foundation in 842// Maybelline FitMe concealer in Sand (which I didn't end up using)//

First I applied the Covergirl outlast foundation with my Real Techniques face brush. I recently bought this foundation and I LOVE it! It's a primer, foundation and concealer all in one. It's definitely a full coverage foundation but it doesn't feel like one. My foundation lasted the entire night from being outside in the sun to dancing into the night, it didn't move once. And I didn't get shiny either! Definitely my new favorite foundation!
I set it with my Rimmel powder and added the NYX blush to the apples of my cheeks and blended it upwards. Then I added the NYC bronzer with a bronzer brush and contoured my cheeks and added color to my temples.

From L to R:
Maybelline Nudes palette// Milani liquid eyeliner in black// Rimmel Exaggerate eyeliner in Blackest Black// NYC jumbo eyeshadow pencil// Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer// Maybelline Falsies mascara// Benefit They're Real mascara//

I wanted to go for a heavier, brown smokey eye for this look. First I applied UD primer to my eyelids and under my eyes. Then I took the second shade from the left on top and applied that all over my lid. I then took the farthest right shade on the top with a blending brush and blended the color into my crease/v area until I got the desired look. I added the second shade from the right on bottom to my browbone as a highlight. Next, I took the NYX pencil and added it into my inner corner for a highlight as well. I lined my eyes using the Rimmel pencil on top and bottom. I then lined my eyes withthe Milani liqud eyeliner and winged it out slightly. I set the eyeliner with the black shade from the palette. To top it off I added a coat of the Benefit mascara and then a coat of the Falsies. And there you have it! My makeup look is complete!

Since the wedding was outside and a country wedding I made sure my outfit reflected similarly. I wore this beautiful navy blue shift from Tobi that has gorgeous lace/crochet hemming at the bottom. I added my brown heeled booties from Old Navy and denim jacket from Target. My purse is a nude pink crossbody from Jessica Simpson's line that I got at Ross. My jewelry was simple, a gold bow necklace that I got from somewhere and a blush pink and gold statement ring from Old Navy. I spritzed on some perfume, Hello by Harvey Prince and I was ready to go!

Now onto the wedding!

It was set in the country and the ceremony was outside. It was a small one, less than a hundred people, just family and friends. The bride is a good friend from high school. We managed soccer together and had various classes throughout the four years. She's a dear friend and I was over the moon to be at her wedding! It was simple and cute. Her colors were purple with green accents. I went by myself but one of my other really good friends went with her boyfriend and I knew the Maid of Honor and one of her bridesmaids so I did have company. The ceremony was short and sweet. After there was a reception in the barn complete with drinks, BBQ, dancing and cake! It was a beautiful wedding and I am so happy for the couple! I wish them lots and lots of happiness and love in their new life! :)

Now for the pictures!
The altar!
Her dress was stunning. The back was beyond gorgeous!
The centerpieces!
My friends, the bride and myself!
How absolutely amazingly beautiful is this cake?! I was like oogling it all night! And it tasted even better than it looked! I'm totally obsessed with exposed wedding cakes!
