Get Ready With Me: Night At the Theatre

Hello all! Hope you're doing well! Today you're going to be seeing how I got ready for a night out at the theatre ! A group of my friends and I went to a local production of Spamalot the other night, a laugh out loud production of a take on King Arthur, Camelot and the search for the Holy Grail.

Group selfie! :)

It was an excellent production and the cast did a superb job! It was a fun night all together! So come and get ready with me for a night at the theatre! :)

.:: Skin :..

I washed my face and then started in on my hair first!

.: Hair :

I curled my hair earlier that morning because I was meeting a friend for breakfast so by the time the afternoon rolled around the curls had fallen out into this really lose, natural look.

I wanted to wear my hair up because it was so blasted hot outside. I put on a headband then twisted my hair back on both sides and tucked it under the headband. I kept tucking the hair under the headband until all of it was rolled into a bun. I then pinned it with bobby pins and sprayed it with my Kenra Scott hairspray.

Here's the finished look!

That was a terrible explanation of how to do it so here's a tutorial with pictures to show you! It's super simple and took me a little over 5 minutes to do. It looks polished and cute while keeping your hair off your neck! I'll definitely be wearing this in the future!

.:: Makeup :..

Now onto makeup! Since my outfit was pretty simple I wanted to have a more dramatic makeup look.

Face:

Products from L to R:
Revlon Colorstay foundation in 250 Fresh Beige// Rimmel Stay Matte foundation in 200 Soft Beige// NYC bronzer in Sunny// Rimmel Stay Matte powder in Translucent// Nyx Blush in Peach// Real Techniques face brush for foundation
First I poured a quarter size amount of the Revlon foundation onto the back of my hand and stipple/blended it onto my face with my Real Techniques face brush. Next, I used my Rimmel foundation as a concealer to conceal some pesky blemishes on my face. Then I used my Rimmel powder with a fluffy brush all over my face. Using a small blush brush I used my Nyx blush and applied it to the apples of my cheeks blending upward. Finally, I used my NYC bronzer and sucked in my cheeks and contoured my cheekbones and temples using a 'C' motion. Now my face is done!

Eyes:

Maybelline The Nudes palette// NYX Paris in Love palette// Benefit They're Real Mascara// Rimmel Exaggerate eye primer// Maybelline Falsies mascara// Milani liquid eye liner// Rimmel pencil eye liner in Blackest Black
First and foremost I primed my eyes with the Rimmel eye primer. I then used the bronzey eye shadow from the Nudes palette and applied that all over my lids with a shader brush. Then I used the dark brown color from the Nyx palette in my outer V and crease blending it in windshield wiper motions with a blending brush. Using the light pinky champagne color as an inner corner highlight color. I also used the champagne color as my brow bone highlight. Next, I lined my eyes and tightline with the Rimmel liner. Overtop of it I used the Milani liquid liner and lightly winged it out. Setting the liquid liner I used the black shadow from the Nudes palette with an eyeliner brush. To finish off the eyes I applied a coat of the Benefit mascara and a coat of the Falsies.

I finished off my makeup look with some chapstick and my Endless Summer perfume! Oh and I'm also wearing Essie's 'I am Strong' polish on my toes! Now that hair and makeup is done time for the outfit!

.:Fashion:.

I had a hard time figuring out what to wear. I didn't want to be too dressy or too casual. My friend Taz suggested a romper and y'all know oh much I love my black one. I knew I had worn it in my first Getting Ready With Me post but I styled so differently so I was like "why not!"

Romper: Wetseal// Denim shirt: Old Navy// Belt: I have no clue. lol.// Wedges: Ross//
 Purse: Old Navy//  Watch: Charlotte Russe
So I'm obsessed with this romper for the sole facts of it's comfort. It's like wearing pajamas, socially acceptable pajamas. I love it. Actually I just love rompers. It's cute and it can be dressed up or down. It's the perfect summer wardrobe staple! I paired it with a light wash denim shirt because I knew the theatre would be cool and I get cold very easily. I belted it with this brown braided belt to cinch the look together. I added a watch and my brown wedges and bada bing bada boom one outfit of the night! This look is the perfect casual but cute and dressy look!

So there you have it guys! My completed look from hair, to makeup, to my outfit! I really like doing these! I know they're a bit lengthy, sorry about that, but I hope you enjoy them! Lemme know what you think in the comments below or by tweeting me! :)

Till next time lovelies!
